BEYOND THE WALK:  Susan Rogers is a mother of four and grandmother of two.    She has a master's degree in Education and has been involved in education for over 25 years.  She has taught Computer Tech, Communications, Drama, Art and Special Ed and most recently was the Coordinator of the Student Union at Salisbury University.

She wears many hats including wife, mother, actress, volunteer and entrepreneur.  She created and ran a children’s theatre company, a murder mystery company and her own theatre for over 10 years.  She has performed in over 100 productions and continues to sing professionally with an Andrew Sister’s tribute band.

Pets have always been in her life.  Susan cannot remember a time where she didn't have a dog in her life; they have been with her in the good and bad times faithfully. In her transition to South Carolina, the honor of walking people’s pets brought her great joy.  "There is nothing like the connection between man and dog, it is vulnerability at it's very basis. The relationship that a dog has for its person is absolutely unconditional.  We all could learn a few things from our Canine friends, says Susan, "I am truly blessed each day to be greeted by wagging tails and sweet doggie kisses."

Susan began walking dogs in October of 2021 and fell in love with it immediately.  She has walked over 100 dogs of all breeds in her short time walking.  She is known to be patient, kind and treat each dog as her own.
